Meet Our Board Members

Our Board of Directors are elected by the voters living within the boundaries of the district. Board of Directors meetings are open to the public. They are held at 2:00pm on the third Wednesday of each month in the meeting room at SJCFPD Station 1, 11010 Milton Thompson Rd.

Meet Our Staff

We are dedicated to safely protecting life and property, providing our patrons with over 60 employees. The Southern Jackson County Fire Protection District is able to provide excellent protection through continuous training and education of the personnel that serve the district. We continue to effectively adapt to the ever changing needs of the community they serve. 


All personnel with SJCFD are certified as professional firefighters, and also licensed either as emergency medical technicians or advanced life support paramedics. In addition, many personnel possess specialized certifications such as code inspectors, arson investigators, and fire and medical service instructors. Three shifts of full-time personnel work a 48-hour On/ 96-hour schedule.
